Our thoughts are with the friends and family of early Pink Floyd manager, Bryan Morrison, who sadly passed away on Saturday, September 27th, two years after falling into a coma following a polo accident at The Royal Berkshire Polo Club of which he was a founder. He was 66.
He formed the Bryan Morrison Agency, a management and booking agency, who looked after Floyd (amongst others) in their early days, taking over the management of the band from Blackhill Enterprises in 1968. The late Steve O'Rourke and Tony Howard were also part of the team.
He made his name in music management and publishing for artists such as Elton John, The Jam, and the Bee Gees, and was a well-known figure on the polo circuit and in show business circles.
He once said: "I'm a very fortunate man. All my businesses are my hobbies – I love music, I love design and I love polo. But if you want to know what I rate as my greatest achievement of the last decade, I'll tell you. It's got nothing to do with horses – it’s learning how to fly a jet helicopter."
Mr Morrison is survived by his wife Greta, whom he was married to for 35 years, and two children: polo player Jamie, 31, and 28-year-old Karina, a film maker.

Re: Brian Morrison (Early Floyd Manager) Dies
whoa, two years in a coma! I don't know if I could be as patient if one of my relatives fell in a coma. I guess after that long time is easier to assimilate his death to his family, because in practical terms he had been dead for two years, is almost a relief that he has finnaly passed away, I guess.
I didn't know anything about that, him falling in a coma two years ago; sad that we only get news of this people when they die, is almost as if the media didn't care for somebody unless they are dead.

It probably was an accident if, when playing polo, he fell off his horse head first into the ground. Poor thing. Do you suspect malice? Did someone else knock him off his horse to kill him?

People generally get pneumonia with no malice involved!
