An trippy comics or philosophical ones? I mean, reading about people in tights and capes is alright for a while...Watchmen is good because they are characters with issues. Wasn't Marvel the pioneers of this derpessed hero thang?
Forget about all that "superhero" nonsense. Read Hate by Peter Bagge. Yahoo, Palestine and Goražde by Joe Sacco, Schizo by Ivan Brunetti, Peepshow by Joe Matt, Yummy Fur by Chester Brown, Palookaville by Seth. Take a trip to The Beguiling Hogtown boy!!! I'm sure you know where it is.

I saw it on another forum last year. It's the best thing I have ever seen. The one with Hitler and the rollercoaster is also fine.

#0023, the girl getting braces, is priceless. Eric has a truly perverse sense of humour. I love it.

I've seen these before and even though they are initially slightly amusing they suffer the same fate that all supposedly shocking humour does, ie once you've seen one the rest quickly become boringly predictable and unfunny.

Death: The High Cost of Living - Neil Gaiman

This is just my opinion, but it's kind of a more girly book, and I don't mean that as an insult. I was partially drawn to this in high school because of the connection between Gaiman and Tori Amos, whom I listened to a lot during my late teens.

electricretard is fine but I visit wulffmorgenthaler for my daily comic fix.

My darlin is a huge comic fan.
I got her a Calvin and Hobbes box set for Christmas. Funny stuff.

Shoot, I finally went upstairs at a used book store near me, and they have tonnes of comics. I really should go to The Beguiling - I hope it is still there.

Anyway, I bought Final Crisis, Uncle Sam and a Crumb and somebody collaboration...also, one other I can't think of right now. I should have consulted this thread first.

More suggestions please!
