It's an absolute crapfest. Even worse than Fictitious Sports, if you can believe that. Avoid it like the plague.

I know this album has a few defenders, but would they really be defending it if it had been by a couple of no-name 80's musicians instead of having Rick Wright involved. Highly unlikely.

just a quick question regarding this title: was it ever released on CD??

I'm asking because there is a guy from Germany selling it on eBay (US$100!!), with a photo that shows a silver CD that seems original, even with a noticeable "Harvest, EMI Record Ltd." printed on it, etc.

I'm not planning to buy it, I'm asking because I've always thought that "Identity" was only released on vinyl.

I gave this album a 3, as I think the songs where Rick Wright sounds á la Pink Floyd are really good ones ("Voices", "Cuts like a diamond" and "Seems we were dreaming"). The rest of the album, yes, it's very 80s (in the bad sense of the concept, like "made of plastic", "soulless"), it's not very good. But those 3 songs are really good ones, especially "Voices".

As for the record on CD, I have one CD that says on its cover "first time on CD". When I started to listen to it, I found that it was a copy from a vynil source ..... So, I can't tell if it was ever issued in CD format.

I bought it on vinyl because I liked Wet Dream very much. I remember listening to it was a surprise. Unfortunately it was one of the unpleasant sort. 80s music at its worst. This album hit rock bottom.

I listened to it once and did not like it. But, given the chance, I would probably buy a cheap used cd of it if I could.
