Gilmour Tour?

Post by Jack Dempsey »

@GilmourTour on Twitter tweeting with #davidgilmourtour and #rah.

I wonder if there's something in this, or maybe just bullshit.

Here's hoping gigs at the RAH are on the way. <ii>

I would say this looks very promising.....

They say "Not at the moment" when someone asked about Gilmour 2020 dates.

The key words are "AT THE MOMENT"

SO excited.

I have the feeling David Gilmour is not going to let Roger have the last word, but at the minute I've got more chance buying his black Strat than accommodation for a possible show.

Hi site says there is an album and a tour will support it, but I have no idea how long that's been up.

Investigating the above post I found that David is listed as a guest at the 70-th birthday bash at the Royal Albert Hall on 30 September 2019 -

However, the event is already SOLD OUT ... :(

UPDATE

Some seats have become available ... prices range from £92.88 to £103.63, but I suspect you will have to be quick

I'm assuming DG's guest spot will be to play the dimming of the day, which he covered during his 'unplugged' shows.

and here I thought I had been present at his last performance at the RAH... when he blasted the most epic CN solo this side of PULSE.

Good guess.

I got home at 3-am and have to report it was a fantastic night with so many highlights and so many pleasant surprise guests. The set-list on the link below has some low-resolution video files and reasonable audio -

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/richard- ... c7f2f.html

You can find your own 'local newpaper' reviews, I will not post a string of links as I am not sure if some of the UK ones will be available all over the world. However, a good one to look at is 'Rolling Stone' if only because in features an overhead video of 'Dimming of the Day' -

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/musi ... ay-893201/

I agree that the mid-section certainly has a feel of CN to it.

:)

This is Just Polly cashing in on Davids fame to push another one of her books - after all would you go anywhere further than 100 mtrs away to see Polly read from one of her books

Assuming the event goes ahead, not a bad price for a night out that includes a signed first edition hardback book plus a dual signed (Polly and David) print ... seating at the venue just over 1,000 and some upstairs tickets are still available.
