I have the Blu-ray ... love it, excellent sound, great picture quality and some interesting (if a little repetitive) interviews.

Just listening to the CD now. Great performance, a few more songs than at the gig I was at (Stuttgart), GREAT mixing by Nick Davis.

Anybody notice that Interstellar Overdrive only gets credited to Syd on the CD? I thought it was a whole band composition...

Hearing this album made me finally get that era of the band in a way I never had before.

What's funny is it's also my favorite release featuring Guy Pratt, by far.

@battra He finally got to play (and sing!) The Nile Song, after pestering David about it for years :)

As for that voting, I wish I'd listened to more new music this year. Didn't even buy the new Deep Purple even if I liked Man Alive a lot. Same with Fish.

Wait.

Nick sang that??

Maybe that's hitting the turntable next!

Guy sings it in all the videos I've seen.

this album took me by surprise, it is very good!
We are lucky to have one of the band's official members, Nick, recovering that very creative era of the band.

No, I meant Guy. I know he suggested playing that song to David, who was very adamant about not wanting to do it. (I think he also suggested Young Lust, or at least the bit we got in it from Learning to Fly was Guy's idea.)

So Guy gets to sing it himself - I find that kinda funny.

OK that's funny.

Guy Pratt was my least favorite part of Pulse, but he's my MVP on Saucer.

The early, more experimental period of Floyd isn't my favorite era, but man are Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets awesome. The live album is phenomenal, and the videos they post on YouTube are amazing.

I'm really addicted to this live album. I especially loved the If-pt1 , AHM , If-pt2 sequence. And a lot of other neat ideas through those new versions.
