Roger Waters 2025 Tour - what would he play?
If Roger Waters announced a new 2025 tour, what do you think he would perform?

Jon Carin posted this this other day and I wonder if he is working with Roger this year?

I would love a revisit to Sheep and Pigs 3DO from Animals, some Radio KAOS era stuff, and a new version of Have a Cigar, and (this unlikely) a Free Four live debut.

To be honest, I am not entirely sure that Roger will even have a chance to tour again logistically, given how much he is in hot water politically. Venues and promoters will no doubt be under a lot of pressure not to welcome him at all.

Re: Roger Waters 2025 Tour - what would he play?
Political opinions and such aside, I remain a fan of his music and lyrical content first and foremost. I find it easy to disagree with some of his very aggressive views, but still enjoy the songs and even lyrical content.
Therefore I would really like to see him return to Radio KAOS when/if he tours again. The concept is very much still current, and hasn’t really been heavily featured since the original tour.
Also, considering his age and vocal limitations, songs such as Flickering Flame, Hello (I Love You), and Lost Boys Calling.

He is also working on a release of his last tour but even that got me thinking of the company's not willing to release it on their music label due to his past comments and him being canceled.Hadrian wrote: Fri Jan 10, 2025 8:18 pm To be honest, I am not entirely sure that Roger will even have a chance to tour again logistically, given how much he is in hot water politically. Re: Roger Waters 2025 Tour - what would he play?
Well Roger played nearly everything in the last 25 years, not much I haven´t heard from him. Still a wishlist for one more round:
Nobody Home (One of my favourite songs from him)
One of these days (no singing and I thought the U&T Version on the european leg was awesome)
Shine On suite (jamming like during the ITF tour)
The Gunners Dream
something from TPACOH but not Every Strangers Eyes
Watching TV
Three Wishes
It´s a miracle
Amused to Death
Bird in a Gale
Wait for Her
Oceans Apart
Part of me died
plus as many tracks as possible from the hopefully upcoming album
I really don´t need anything from Dark Side or Animals, heard it all enough during my floydian live adventures in the last 30 years

Re: Roger Waters 2025 Tour - what would he play?
When Rog re imagined the Wall tour it was almost as good as the original shows so it would be good to see him revisit the Pros and Cons tour and the KAOS tour as even though both were really good they were limited by the available technology at the time. He could even revive Final Cut tour that was cancelled at the last minute - I still have a copy of the programme

Well not another recycled Floyd show…
A deep dive ? Nick Mason covered that early pre Dark side material, so what’s left ?
Doubt if RW would do another World slog TBH, but time is running out…

Re: Roger Waters 2025 Tour - what would he play?
A tour with solo material would be great, but I doubt he'd be happy with how many people would actually want to see it.
I'd also love to see his band play the songs their own way, not how a certain other band would play them. More like his tours in the '80s. Not that every song was improved, but still. If I want to hear it like the record, I'll play the record. If I want to hear a tribute band, there are much cheaper options.
Bring Snowy back and let him go wild on the solos. Drop Kilminster and Carin. Get someone to sing the parts Waters can't do anymore. No lip-syncing or pre-recorded parts. Give Waters a guitar or bass, and cut out the extra three guitarists and two bass players.
On the other hand, this might mean everything would sound like his Bravery of Being Out of Range reworking. Maybe he thinks the lyrics are so good that he and his acoustic guitar are enough.

Yeh there tends to be lots of movement to and from the bar during his solo stuffYetAnother wrote: Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:50 am A tour with solo material would be great, but I doubt he'd be happy with how many people would actually want to see it.

The Final Cut live, full album in concert (including "Tigers"), and an audio and video release of that.Trainplane wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 10:41 pm A deep dive ? Nick Mason covered that early pre Dark side material, so what’s left ?

apparently Roger is done touring Pink Floyd songs & he wants to do more low scale theatre shows
