Haven't Westlife had more number one singles than the Beatles (in the UK anyway)?

woah a very old thread I never saw before
without taking time to read all nine pages....
I think amongst many other very cool things they did

what I like best about the Beatles is that they could pack so many different ideas into two and a half minutes
songs like Paperback Writer or Lady Madonna each cycle through a halfdozen melodic ideas, wasting no time to noodle
any other band would have taken those same halfdozen melodies and dragged each out to fill a whole album
McCartney continued to write like that on his early solo albums, for which he deserves rarely given props

While this thread started off about The Beatles, it turned into something else quite rapidly.

I had wondered if this thread still existed on this board.
