My top three bands are The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Genesis, in no particular order. Of course, each has their merits. The Beatles changed the face of popular music, they were colourful, imaginative, over-rated, brilliant, they did Revolver, Rubber Soul, Abbey Road, the best singles of all time... Pink Floyd evolved through several distinct phases - all equally successful, in my fawning opinion - psychedelia, percussive, instrumental epics, stadium rock songs... Genesis were dynamic, adventurous and extremely under-rated...
I mean, Revolver, Dark Side and Duke. Not baaaaad.
I have no idea what I'm talking about.
