I can't remember the name, but I saw an episode of some rubbish UK sitcom once where the main guy was asking for help to convince his new girlfriend to sleep with him.

His mates says "just play a Pink Floyd record, any Pink Floyd record, and she'll be so depressed she'll do whatever you want"

On (the brilliant) Al Murray's Fact Hunt two nights ago a question came up that showed a picture of a cow and before (the brilliant) Al Murray could ask the question a guy buzzed in and said ''Atom Heart Mother'', which was the incorrect answer. Al Murray is brilliant!

I think it was a french softcore film called "La marge" aka the streetwalker that used part of Shine on you crazy diamond during an oral sex scene? without the bands permission apparently, the film is really bad anyway, Buttman films are much better... so I'm told ;-)[/b]

Bruce Lees 1970s movie "The Big Boss" featured a couple of Floyd tracks, one of which was certainly "Time" and popped up on a few occasions during the film. Its a while since I saw the film so I cant remember which other tracks were used but looking on a film database I see that it was the Cantonese soundtrack that featured Floyd and not the English one for some reason.

Does anyone know some of the names of the millions of movies and shows that 'Run Like Hell' was played in? I remember hearing that beautiful riff a lot in movies and shows but I don't remember what shows or movies they were in.

On Nickelodeon the show Fairly Odd Parents(hehe...kiddy shows..16 years old...yeaaaaa.....)
Anyways, on one of the episodes they made a spoof of their album cover art on something, I think they even mentione "DarkSide of the ...Something..." with a black cover and some circle with the rainbow design...

Weird...

from an article about Naomi Watts, in one of those free "news"papers they give out on the subway:
"Naomi has Pink Floyd's "Money" as her cellphone ringtone. There's a good reason for this. Her father, Peter, was the sound engineer for Pink Floyd. He died when she was seven."
who knew that?
