Lyrical wonder
What does everyone here feel are Roger's finest lyrics?
I feel as an aldbum/ concept TPACOHH is fantastic and is lyrically his most impressive.
As a song Two Suns In The Desert os his best, although i feel TFC has slightly to much awkward rhyming to be his best lyrics album.

In my mind, it's definitely The Final Cut (the album). I actually believe that to be the finest set of lyrics ever put together by a human being, and I'm coming from the Gilmour side of the PF camp.
"Ashes and diamonds, foe and friend, we were all equal in the end."
Beautiful. Perfect. Roger, you're a brilliant man.

"still part of me flies over Dresden at angels 1 5; though they'll never fathom it, behind my sarcasm desperate memories lie"
Those have always impressed me very much, especially since it may not be all to clear at first glance...
Anyway, I think lyrics are often underrated, and most people just go for the 'tune'... Waters proves that songs can be indeed very powerful, even when there's not much melody to a song (no need for it either, just take P&CoHH for instance, a masterpiece imho)...
Lets not forget 'When the Tigers broke Free'! The line: "and my eyes still go damp to remember his majesty signed with his own rubber stamp" is just brilliant.. Still its also very personal, I think Roger is the only one who can sing that right, the anger, the contempt, it just splatters of the recording...
But the man puts his soul into his lyrics, not only when writing them, but also when he's performing... Thats why I'm hooked anyway...
