You said that already. Where are we going? :)

Yep , I will be getting a copy of this dvd.But Im sitting here wondering if any of the profits of this dvd will reach the chartity that the concert was staged for. I remember Leaonard Cheshire starting the concert by blowing a whistle that was used to get troops to go over the top during the first world war.Would anyone here if the charity still exists and did it recieve any monies from the concert or from this dvd.

:D :D :D

The worlds not funny is it

I was wondering about that myself, so I wrote an email to the organisation a couple of months ago. This is an excerpt from what they replied:

"The World Memorial Fund for Disaster Relief has ceased to operate in its original form, however two separate organisations have been formed in its place. One of them is “The National Memorial Arboretum” and the other the “Leonard Cheshire Centre for Conflict Recovery”.The National Memorial Arboretum is not part of Leonard Cheshire and is a separate charity.

If you wish to get in touch with the Arboretum, please contact Mr David Childs on 01722 716 310 or have a look at their website @ http://www.nationalmemorialarboretum.co.uk. The Leonard Cheshire centre for Conflict Recovery is responsible for the study and development of best practice in post conflict medicine and support. It limits itself to post conflict rather than natural disaster. In support of this, it participates in post conflict operations in various parts of the world. You can contact the Leonard Cheshire Centre at 4 Taviton Street, London WC1H 0BT, Tel: 020 7679 4518 and ask for Mathew Fleggson who is the Co-ordinator for Overseas Programmes.

Alternatively, you could have a look at their website http://www.leonard-cheshire.org/lcc/ "

I don't know how much money the gig raised... One thing is sure: not enough...

cheers,

Pie
