Post by Jangus »

PINK FLOYD
London 1966 - 1967
2005 UK Region 0 PAL DVD features a full length & extremely rare performances from the classic late 60s Pink Floyd line-up of Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters & Rick Wright at Sound Techniques, London & the now legendary '14 Hour Technicolor Dream Extravaganza' gig in April 1967 at Alexandra Palace plus BONUS interviews

Pink Floyd 1966-1967 is a fascinating insight into the early world of one of the biggest bands ever. Filmed by musical film supreme Peter Whitehead, the film features full length and extremely rare performances from the classic late 60s Pink Floyd line-up at Sound Techniques London & the now legendary '14 Hour Technicolor Dream Extravaganza' gig in April 1967 at Alexandra Palace. Additional footage captures swinging sixties London plus interview with Mick Jagger, Michael Caine, David Hockney & Julie Christie. The footage from Alexandra Palace includes Yoko Ono's performance art and a Sgt. Pepper-era John Lennon taking in the festivities. [John and Yoko had not then met]. This DVD is an essential addition to any Pink Floyd fan's collection.
Released 12th September

Is this some new footage here?

I just had a watch of the new DVD on my lunch break at work and it is looking good!! Tonight Lets All Make Love In London video is on there in perfect condition and the filming Mr Whitehead? did of Pink Floyd during their 3 hours in the studio recording interstellar overdrive and the song they would title Nicks Boogie. There is not much else on it but it is pretty good to have I guess.

I have a press release for it with details and some photos etc so will make a news story of it an put it on site later on this evening..... if I dont go out with my mates on the booze to Wetherspoons such is the Thursday night tradition! 8)

I got 2 copies of the DVD and 2 T-Shirts (XL) to give away from Snapper Music who have released this DVD. Its a nice DVD!! Well worth having if you are more than a casual fan!

I am going to put the DVDs and T-Shirts up for grabs in a competition. Do you think I should have 2 people win one of each, or 4 people win one item? I am not too sure at the moment! I would like to win a DVD and T-Shirt (yes, they did send me one of each) so I am thinking of going with 2 people get one of each.

What do you people think?
