Sky Arts Pink Floyd Night featuring Syd Barrett Biopic

There are 5 great programs to watch on Sky Arts this coming Saturday 27th April in what looks like a real treat for Pink Floyd fans. There is a Pink Floyd takeover as they are broadcasting lots of content starting at 6.30pm. This Sky Arts Pink Floyd Night is going to be a great evening.

As part of the package, Sky Arts will broadcast the autobiographical film Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd. Hopefully we are a step closer to streaming and physical release.

Pink Floyd Evening on Sky Arts Itinerary

You will be able to watch Syd Art’s Pink Floyd evening on a range of broadcast platforms on Saturday 27th April 2024 starting at 6.30PM GMT to 1.45am the next day. You can watch on Freeview channel 36, Now TV in HD and on the various Sky TV Platforms in the UK.

Artist, animator and director Ian Emes’ visual interpretation of the band’s 2014 album, filmed on location in London and Exmoor National Park. The album primarily comprises instrumental and ambient music based on the Division Bell album sessions, and as Ian Emes says: “the challenge was to make a film which complemented the album experience. With the all-enveloping rhythms and dream-like power of The Endless River music, my goal was to make something immersive and spatial, in which image and music are one.” It was directed and produced by Ian Emes on location in London and Exmoor National Park, it was shot by a number of cinematographers, including Bud Gallimore and David Cawley.

Could a Physical Release be coming soon?

Having been in the cinemas extensively it will now be broadcast which puts us closer to streaming and physical release. Hopefully it will be on streaming platforms soon and physically available to buy on DVD and Blu-Ray.

The film was well received by Barrett’s family with his sister Rosemary Breen being particularly impressed as she discussed in her Fingal’s Cave podcast interview.

It runs at 1h 34m and was directed by Roddy Bogawa and Storm Thorgerson and was written by the same people plus Dan Abbott.
