Pink Floyd Album Release and Anniversary Dates
Pink Floyd album release and anniversary dates are important. Pink Floyd’s album anniversaries offer fans exciting opportunities to revisit their legendary catalog. Given Sony now owns the catalogue, its much easier to get things agreed to be released without the fighting!
Over the years, Pink Floyd has released special editions to celebrate key milestones, including remastered versions, box sets, and exclusive vinyl reissues. The Dark Side of the Moon received a lavish 50th-anniversary box set in 2023, featuring remastered audio, live recordings, and collectible memorabilia. Other albums, such as The Wall and Wish You Were Here, saw enhanced reissues on their 30th and 40th anniversaries. The Division Bell had a 20th Anniversary boxset.
What special anniversary editions could be next?
Looking ahead, 2025 brings two major anniversaries—the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here in September and the 30th of Pulse in June. It’s possible Wish You Were Here will receive a deluxe edition similar to The Dark Side of the Moon, possibly including immersive audio formats and unreleased material. For Pulse, a vinyl reissue or expanded live set could be a fitting tribute with the full Dark Side of the Moon released as a visual piece on Blu-ray as Alan Parsons took it upon himself to announce!
