Brighton Dome in England are to hold an exhibition of Pink Floyd photographs under the title Dark Side Of The Moon – A Photographic Exhibition. The event, which takes place between 20th January and 20th March 2012 in the Founders Room, is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyds first performance of Dark Side of the Moon which took place on 20th January 1972 at the Brighton Dome.
Photographer Jill Furmanovsky spent considerable time on the road with the band including the debut gig of Dark Side of the Moon gig in Brighton. These rare and often intimate images by Jill Furmanovsky, Storm Thorgerson, Colin Prime & Tony Collins are courtesy of Rock Archive.
Opens 20th January 10-5pm Tues – Sun, Admission is Free. On the opening evening, there will be a Q&A with Jill, again being hosted in the Founders Room in the Dome. This starts at 7pm, and is also free so you cannot blame the recession on not going!
