As highlighted on Roger Waters’ official YouTube page, a selection of songs from the live broadcast of Radio Waves, recorded at Colisée De Québec, Canada, on 7th November 1987, has made its way officially onto Spotify. it is calle Roger Waters: KAOS FM 1987: Live Radio Broadcast.

There are 8 songs in total giving 49 minutes of the live performance which has been a favourite amongst bootleggers over the years.

Pink Floyd recently released a load of old bootlegs on Spotify, presumably due to copyright reasons. It seems the fashionable thing to do these days as loads of other artists are getting in on the act too.

Bootlegs have long been a Pink Floyd fan’s interest with hundreds of the recordings existing with varying quality. The bootlegs, often called Records of Indeterminate Origin or RoIOs, often showcase what was new material at the time and you can hear how songs developed over time before being committed to tape in the studio and released as commercial releases. There is lots of interesting material out there and NPF used to run a Pink Floyd Torrent website but we decided to take it down a while back.

This summer should see another release relating to Roger Waters this time in the form of an official studio album that has had the modern treamment and reixing done to it. It will make a lovely record for the collection so looking forward to getting my hands on that.

Lock down was a great opportunity for Roger to put his many years of thoughts and experiences down on paper and has been sharing excerpts of his forthcoming autobiography online. That should be a very interesting read to see in black and white his side of the story of Pink Floyd and all the goings on over the years. Stay tuned for more on that by getting our free newsletter.
