This Is Not A Drill Film 2025 is set for release on 4 formats for the home, and another set of worldwide cinema screening on 23 and 27 June 2025. Tickets on sale 12th June 2025 at 2pm BST. The physical releases will be available on 1st August 2025.

This Is Not A Drill Tour Looked and Sounded Great

This Is Not A Drill Film was recorded at Roger’s Prague concert on 25th May on his 2023 tour. The tour had featured lots of Pink Floyd and his solo material goodies. The band played in the centre of arenas with the audience surrounding “in the round”. There were enormous colour LED screens with a rather impressive set of visuals throughout the show.

The concert was originally live streamed into Cinemas around the world. It has taken quite some time to get round to the physical release and more screenings in cinemas of the origina live stream event.

The tour musicians and singers were great. Roger Waters was joined by a stellar line-up of musicians, including Jon Carin on keyboards and guitars, Robert Walter on organ, Jonathan Wilson and Dave Kilminster on guitars and vocals, Gus Seyffert on bass and guitar, Joey Waronker on drums and percussion, Seamus Blake on saxophone, and vocalists Amanda Belair and Shanay Johnson, creating a powerhouse ensemble for This Is Not A Drill.

Co-directed by Waters and Sean Evans, this cinematic experience blends timeless Pink Floyd classics with his solo masterpieces, spanning six decades of musical genius. More than just a concert film, it’s a powerful critique of corporate dystopia and a heartfelt plea to cherish and protect our fragile planet.

Dedicated to “our brothers and sisters all over the world who are engaged in the existential battle for the soul of humanity,” the film is a sensory explosion—musically, visually, politically, and philosophically. It showcases unforgettable performances from legendary albums like The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall, alongside standout tracks from Waters’ solo career, including Amused to Death and Is This The Life We Really Want?.

The show’s immersive 360° stage design enhances the experience, allowing Waters and his band to connect with the audience from every angle. At its core is a rectangular platform with extended runways forming an elongated cross, while towering LED screens—spanning 650 square meters—project striking visuals and messages that amplify the meaning behind each song. This dynamic setup ensures an engaging, high-energy production that captivates audiences from every corner of the venue.

Here is a preview clip of the This Is Not A Drill Film. The band is performing Wish You Were Here with lots of reminders of Pink Floyd founding member Syd Barrett. The song was written about Syd who even popped up at Abbey Road in 1975 during the bands studio recording session.
