David Gilmour’s New Song to be Played in Full on BBC Radio

David Gilmour’s new song Rattle That Lock from his new album with the same title will be played on BBC Radio 2 in the UK this coming Friday 17th July 2015. The Breakfast Show is broadcast between 6:30am and 9:30am with David’s new album title track being broadcast at 8:10am GMT. It will be hosted by DJ Sara Cox. You can listen live online from answhere in the world via the Radio 2 website. You can also listen on the BBC iPlayer if you are located in the UK. David Gilmour’s New Album Title Revealed…

With David Gilmour’s 2015 tour due to start in only a few months, David Gilmour has revealed the name of the album he has been working on which will be released later this year. The album is called Rattle That Lock and will be David’s fourth solo studio album following the self titled David Gilmour (1978), About Face (1984) and On an Island (2006). Lyrics are Hard to Write! David and his song-writing partner Polly Samson attended the Borris House Festival of Writing over the weekend where David revealed in an interview the title of the album. David’s wife Polly Samson told of how difficult it was getting lyrics out of the guitarist and likened it to getting a child to do his homework! Roger Waters The Wall Film 2015 Poster Revealed

Roger Waters The Wall Film 2015 will be shown in cinemas across the world on 29th September 2015. A poster for the event has been released to the right (click to enlarge). Picturehouse Entertainment and Fathom Events announced they have acquired international and U.S. rights respectively to Roger Waters The Wall 2015 written and directed by Roger Waters and Sean Evans. The film, with an exclusive “in conversation” with Roger Waters, will have an unprecedented event cinema release across the world at 7.30 pm local time on Tuesday September 29 this year. Roger Waters The Wall Movie in Cinemas This Year

Roger Waters The Wall Movie is set to be shown in selected cinemas in a special event this year after fans have waited for much time to see it! The film was recorded on Roger Waters The Wall Tour 2010-13 which was seen by four million fans across the world. The film has three parts covering an immersive concert experience of the classic Pink Floyd album, a road movie of Waters’ reckoning with the past and as a stirring anti-war film, highlighting the human cost of conflict. Roger goes on a pilgrimage to explore the impact of war on his own family – in February 2014 Roger Waters visited Italy where his father was killed in World War Two. Polly Samson and David Gilmour Discussion at Irish Book Festival

Writer Polly Samson, who is married to the voice and guitar of Pink Floyd David Gilmour, has a new book out in the UK next week called The Kindness. This is her fourth book following the successful Perfect Lives book of short stories in 2010. The Independent described the new book as a “gorgeously chilling novel about grief and betrayal.” Your humble narrator is looking forward to both reading this new book, but also one particular discussion with David and Polly in Ireland this June where they will be discussing their work together.
