Pink Floyd Animation Competition Winner Announced Next Week

The winner of the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon Animation Competition is set to be announced next week. The competition was announced as part of the Dark Side of the Moon 50th Anniversary and there is £235,000 of prize money up for grabs. I wish I had entered a video now! Sadly, the competition closed in December 2023. I watched a video on Pink Floyd’s Facebook page earlier where Nick Mason explained what happens next with the competition. David Gilmour New Album 2024 Work in Progress

David Gilmour New Album 2024 continues to be worked on well up to Christmas! Lyricist Polly Samson has shared some more excellent photos of David Gilmour at work in the recording studio working on his forthcoming 2024 new album. Looking at all the photos that have been posted, there is a David Gilmour band coming together with some old and new faces alike. We know about Guy Pratt on bass and Roger Eno on Piano, both worked on Gilmour’s previous album. But now we have a couple of new faces. New to me anyway. Adam Betts is on drums. He has played with the likes of Jarvis Cocker from Pulp and Pete Tong. Tom Herbert is on bass. He plays the double bass and electric bass. Roger Waters Concert in Montevideo Was A Rainy Affair

Roger Waters concert at Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, Uruguay was a rainy affair. The arena tour didn’t suffer the consequences of rain thankfully. However, now that Roger is back to doing outdoor concerts to large audiences, he is getting lots of rain pouring down on him. Roger Water’s guitarist David Kilminster reported that his equipment had been damaged by the storms. He said on his Twitter, “Apologies for the technical problems, but apparently if you throw a bucket of water over all my guitar pedals, cables, effects switcher etc then they really don’t like it…”.
