UPDATE: Unfortunately the cinema release for 15th October has been cancelled. Cinema distribution company Trafalgar Releasing announced the release of the restored, re-edited and remixed version of Delicate Sound of Thunder in cinemas around the world for a one-night-only event. This was originally scheduled for Thursday 15th October 2020 but has been postponed – we are waiting for the rescheduled date. Screenings of the 90-minute, 4K feature will take place subject to local venue COVID-19 measures, and tickets will be on sale from Thursday 27th August, with local screening details searchable at DelicateSoundOfThunder.com Some theatres are able to offer a specially-created Dolby Atmos mix, but please note that dates are subject to change based on the status of local cinema re-openings. Guy Pratt’s Arthritic Thumb Slaps That Funky Bass!

Guy Pratt, who played bass for Pink Floyd after Roger Waters left in the 1980s, has been doing some explainer/tutorial videos on Youtube for fans to enjoy. His show is called “Lockdown Licks”. Guy has played bass on lots of famous songs and albums over the years and has a rather impressive resume. He is currently up to episode 4 where he covers a couple of Pink Floyd classics. Fans that have heard the re-recorded and re-mixed Later Years box set material will notice a lot of Guy’s original material was toned down – the band seemingly wanting a less 80s feel and more a timeless mix. They are still on tour and have lots of dates this year too. First up, there will be a cinema screening of Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets Live at The Roundhouse. Guy Pratt is an English bassist, guitarist, and singer. He was born on January 3, 1962 in London, England. Pratt is best known for his work as a session musician and touring member of the rock band Pink Floyd. Pratt started playing bass at a young age and was influenced by a range of artists, including Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Jack Bruce. He played in several local bands before starting his career as a session musician. In the 1980s, Pratt was recruited by Pink Floyd as a touring bassist and guitarist. He played on several tours and became an integral part of the live performances, contributing his musical skills and producing new arrangements of classic Pink Floyd tracks.
