In his first full-length film, acclaimed photographer and director Anton Corbijn explores the story of Hipgnosis, the design studio behind some of the most iconic album covers in rock history, in “Squaring The Circle: The Story Of Hipgnosis.” Featuring rock legends such as Paul McCartney, Noel Gallagher, and members of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, the documentary delves into the creative process and legacy of the London-based studio formed by Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell. Chris Hewitt from Cheshire, England, has the UK’s largest collection of Vintage audio equipment has has been documenting his experience with the development of large rock sound systems over the past few years in a 3 volume set of books. This includes the various stages of development of Pink Floyd’s sound systems. Pink Floyd set up their own sound hire company Britannia Row where you can rent professional equipment. According to NME and http://www.norphil.co.uk, the UKs Royal Mail are to issue ten new stamps on 7th January 2010.  Pink Floyd, Blur, The Clash and Led Zeppelin are among those to be featured. Albums in the collection include ‘The Division Bell’ by Pink Floyd, ‘Parklife’, ‘London Calling’, ‘Led Zeppelin IV’, ‘Power, Corruption & Lies’ by New Order, Primal Scream’s ‘Screamadelica’, ‘Let It Bleed’ by The Rolling Stones, Coldplay’s ‘A Rush Of Blood To The Head’, ‘The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars’ by David Bowie and Mike Oldfield’s ‘Tubular Bells’.
