Tickets for The Pink Floyd Exhibition – Their Mortal Remains will be available from Thursday 27th February 2014 from the Official Pink Floyd Exhibition website here. The 4 week long exhibition residency will be held at Fabbrica del Vapore, via Procaccini 4, Milan in Italy. The event will launch on Friday 19th September 2014 and run for 4 weeks until Sunday 19th October 2014 with tickets costing a very reasonable €15 euros. Aubrey “Po” Powell, from Hipgnosis who created many of Pink Floyd’s iconic album covers, is the curator of the event and creative director. There is also involvement from stage set designers Stufish who designed many of Pink Floyd’s stage sets. Pink Floyd Exhibition occupies some 2500 square metres and contains over 300 objects especially flown in from all over the world, some of which are the personal property of the band. Pink Floyd’s Youtube page has posted a very interesting video regarding something called The Pink Floyd Exhibition – Their Mortal Remains. The video does not give much away at this stage and, typical of Pink Floyd unveilings, has a element of mystery about it! It seems to be about looking at Pink Floyd’s history through different lenses including their music, show, history, words, people, design and film from the snippets included in the video below. But what form will these lenses take? What could it all mean? Something similar to the Pink Floyd 2003 Interstellar Exhibition in Paris? Perhaps it will be held in Milan, Italy as per this newspaper article from last year.
