The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains in Canada

Canada has been confirmed as the sixth country to host The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains, the critically acclaimed major retrospective of Pink Floyd, their music and the impact the band had on art and culture. Following its hugely successful debut at London’s prestigious Victoria and Albert Museum in 2017 (link contains pictures/spoilers), the exhibition has subsequently traveled to Italy, Germany, Spain and the United States attracting over 500,000 people and will now take residency in the cultural hub of Montreal. The Exhibition opens on November 4 at Arsenal Contemporary Art Montreal and runs to December 31 2022, Tuesday to Sunday. Animals Release Date June 2022

Pink Floyd Animals 2022 Release Date

The remix of Pink Floyd’s Animals album has been suffering from a serious delay in being released since 2018 due to the arguments over the liner notes. However, it would seem there is an end in sight in terms of the official release date of this much anticipated record. At the Los Angeles incarnation of the Mortal Remains immersive exhibition, there is a little display with a plaque with details of the release date on. Now, given the literally years of delays, don’t get your hopes up but… it is looking like June 2022! Mortal Remains Exhibition Images, thanks to Mikael Vinyl. If you can’t wait until then to have something new from Pink Floyd, then don’t forget the new remix of A Momentary Lapse of Reason is available this month. It will be interesting to see if this and the Animals releases get to number one in the charts....

If you still haven’t visited The Pink Floyd Their Mortal Remains exhibition at the V&A Museum in London then time is running out as it ends soon! Your humble narrator went a couple of weeks ago and you can see my photos and videos from the exhibition in this article now. There is a spectacular “live room” where you are immersed in incredible 360 degrees of sound and video, all the puppets you would expect from The Wall, incredible memorabilia including the enormous Division Bell Heads, tour equipment, Syd Barrett’s “mirror” guitar and a whole lot more. The Victoria and Albert Museum in London will play host to a spectacular exhibition of Pink Floyd’s history. It is called The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains. You can get your tickets here. The exhibition was originally planned to take place in Italy a couple of years ago but planning issues meant it was not feasible. At the exhibition you can experience an unprecedented, innovative and multi-sensory journey through Pink Floyd’s extraordinary worlds, chronicling the music, design and staging of the band, from their debut in the 1960s through to the present day. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to experience never-before-seen classic Pink Floyd concert footage and a custom-designed laser light show. It features contributions from all living members of the band and follows a very successful exhibition centered around David Bowie.
