Well honestly I am very very NOT surprised about what happened. Do you think it would be easy having a knocker-ball like Syd as a boyfriend? He was apparently abusive physically as well. But she was really pretty.

They were deeply in love ... but Syd was firey, moody an unpredictable loose cannon.

Syd was a loner but someone who would get heavily emotionally involved. His moodswings could turn from passion to anger in a heartbeat.

Yes, Lindsay was, as still is a beautiful person through and through. Whilst a little of their romance and passion has been shared, she'll keep it where it really belongs.

Hi John, nice to hear from you again. With you being in a band with Syd Barrett, I guess you would have had full view of things like his relationship with Lindsay Korner. Was he with her in his late teens?

It's a long while ago now and I'd hesitate to put dates on stuff without looking up some info. I was 5 years at Art SChool in Cambridge and Syd left for London (Camberwell) after the firt two, so I saw little of him during that period (unless I visited London). Such visit were more rare in those days!

But I'd say "Yes" they were together late teens....

If I'm remembering correctly, that last book about PF that I read said that Syd once rode his bike past Lindsay's daughter, who was wearing one of her mother's old dresses at the time and said "Helly, Little Lindsay."

I'd say that she definitely made a mark on him.

This particular story actually refers to an earlier girlfriend of Syd's, Libby Gausden, and the girl on the bike was Libby's daughter ("Little Lib", as Syd called her).
