Although I like the Studio disc also, it's only the Live disc here that's really Pink Floyd, isn't it?

That's a bit like saying "Give Birth To A Smile" is by Pink Floyd and the rest of "Music From The Body" is Roger's first solo album

I put the first half on, to Eugene, whenever someone official is on the phone, just to see if they will say anything! :P

While the studio album lulls you into this kind of wierd dreamy cave of sorts (alas, i feel as if iam out in nature when i hear it) and there are some wonderfully super-real expressions in it, the live one's got Set the Controls and Eugne and SOS and they're such knockouts. Personally, especially when i first listened to them, i felt like i was in the wierd bits of 2001: a Space odyssey, which is totally cheesy, but still, the live album is SO spaced out, which is why its so great!

Altogether or separate, Ummagumma is undoubtedly fantastic!
