Re: Your least favourite Pink Floyd song?
I have to say Dogs of War because of it's naked rip-offedness of OOTD and the awfulness of the lyrics. How could Gilmour not read Anthony Moore's line "they deliver oblivion" and not say, "Try again, Tony."
I will also nominate a Great Day for Freedom for the similarly-themed and similarly awful line "the ship of fools had finally run aground."
Take It Back deserves dishonorable mention for the high misdemeanor trying to sound like U2.
See Saw is the worst song ever to have an orchestral arrangement, and lest we forget "the genius," I think St. Tropez simply ruins Meddle.

I've heard it. It beats the version from More, but I still don't like it.PinkFloyd69 wrote:You might change your mind after hearing the version on "Interstellar Encore"

I think that song is great, well its more an audio experience than a song but great nonetheless.

Why the hell is Seamus on that list?
That was an excellent blues style song and a nice departure from PF's other songs.
Seamus did a great job on the vocals too, I can barely get my dog to sit still, so I have major respect for that mut!
...and the song is only 2 minutes, so even if you don't like it, its over quickly.
Money a least favorite? Your joking right?
Sure its overplayed on the radio but it doesn't belong on that list.
Another brick in the wall part 2 a least favorite? Your joking again, right?
Bike was an acid trip of a circus, probably my least favorite song on your list but still no where near bad.
To whomever thinks San Tropez is a bad song, well your F-ing nuts!
That is the most laid back, mellow song EVER! It's like a vacation for your ears.

With the exception of Learning to Fly, which I happen to like, I would say that arguably every song on A Momentary Lapse of Bowel Control, I mean, Reason could be classified as the worst floyd song ever.

Re: Your least favourite Pink Floyd song?
I can stand every Floyd-Song from the funny Seamus to the dancy Another Brick II. But I can't stand "Great Gig in the Sky". I just HATE that style of singing which is in my opinion the prototype of those whiney "soul" singers like Mariah, Whitney and others Only the version with Sam Brown is at least bearable for me.
When Wright died it grieved me even more that everyone was swooning about "Great Gig" in his memory but no one spoke a word about "Shine on pt. 9"

While I do like "Great Gig" it does kinda bug me that it overshadows everything else Rick contributed to the band

I totally agree with you on that. It's over-rated IMHO and I've always said Clare Torry's wailing ruined it. Sam Brown's effort isn't as painful on the ears but overall I wish it didn't feature so prominently in the Pink Floyd canon.

Same album, but I'll go with Sorrow. I can hardly stand the guitar overdrive.PinkFloyd69 wrote:"A New Machine", EASILY, followed by "Dogs of War"

Re: Your least favourite Pink Floyd song?
wow. really?
I can't pick a least favorite floyd tune. I've been listening to them since I was 10 or so, and while there are certain songs I don't hit 'replay' on, I can't think of one that sucks.
There are some that are considerably different than 'regular' PF tunes, but I feel that just shows the group's musical diversity.
I know a lot of people don't like Momentary Lapse, but I do. It's just different.

Several Species... is not such a good song in my opinion. I tend not to listen to that one.
