I enjoy On An Island in the live arena but the album as released didn't really satisfy me. I may buy the next album as it's probably the only new material we're ever likely to see from a Pink Floyd member now.

I'm not sure. Just Roger hasn't been a member of Floyd since 1985 so his material would seem more solo than David.

To make a long-story short, Gilmour played a new composition at his wife's birthday party. Not sure of what it is yet, but it seems like it's indicating that there might be a new Gilmour album in the future.

On an Island is not as bad as it is said to be, though it's not eargasmic.

Boy, oh, boy. The rumours have been floating about this again elsewhere on this interweby thing and you know what? There seems to be a slight history of Roger and David releasing albums or touring fairly close to one another since 1984...hmmmm...it would be great!

I hear Mr Gilmour's album recording is under way and has some old school influences much like On An Island.

Sounds good to me! I hope there's more of a bluesy sound on the album like with the track "This Heaven", but I'm up for anything, really.
