Thing? What is a "thing"?
A "thing" is an empty word, having no meaning on its own.
What about:
"But this WORK that we do".
Nah. I get what Polly is saying. In this context "thing" is an affectionate descriptor of work and art.
A Rick Wright "swan song" from 1969?
I think this is a good sign. Better to use something awesome from 1969 than something mediocre from the 90's. It shows a bit of ego-release and self-awareness.
The same false track list was released last July on Instagram. It's the same 10 titles. According to this list, there would be only 3 instrumental songs (the other 7 would have lyrics ). The official announcement said that the album is mostly instrumental. So, we will have to wait!
Oh sorry, I did think it looked quite convincing - maybe a bit to detailed to be true! It will be interesting to see if any of the rumours are correct - not too long to wait hopefully! Pete
I don't mind it. I kind of like how it connects to several of the lyrics from 'High Hopes'. Plus, my expectations were never high. Not since Storm died.
Absolutely terrible cover. Glossy and overcooked. The text clashes with the image, too. It looks like the kind of image extremely bored, wine-drenched, rich people would find interesting.

They could've used an unreleased art made by Storm just as they recycled Rick's keyboards, but well, I think I can get used to it...

A "thing"? There should be a better word as "an affectionate descriptor of work and art".

Saying that an 1969 recording is Wright's "swan song" is just lying.

It's still much better than a "thing".
Words like "work" and "shit" can stand on their own.
Such independent words are important in a poem.
