Yea, his solo career has been nothing to write home about but I like wings alot. He is still a great entertainer and his new live DVD is great. Hard to believe he's pushing 60.

Paul McCartney's post Beatles music has been very often dismissed, which is a little unfair as he's produced some quality stuff in the last 33 years. The albums RAM, BAND ON THE RUN, BACK TO THE EGG, TUG OF WAR, FLOWERS IN THE DIRT and FLAMING PIE, are among the best solo material by an ex Beatle. He's had some albums that haven't been very good too (MCCARTNEY II, PRESS TO PLAY), but so did John, George and Ringo. Indeed I would have to say the IMHO the weakest solo album is John's SOMETIME IN NEW YORK CITY.

Flaming Pie is a GREAT album. Melodic, well produced - and only seven quid!

I'm not a huge fan of S&G, but I think America and Mrs. Robinson are quite bloody good.

'I Am A Rock' is really quite moving, pour moi. :) Not too keen on Paul Simon solo, though. :?
