Haha, yes, your avatar does suggest that! Perhaps I should rephrase...

He is the only one that would mention it here!

I believe that's already been suggested as a "name of the next Pink Floyd album" hoax.

i remember seeing a docu around the time of OAI being released where David admitts himself that hes terrible at writing lyrics, he says polly wrote most of the lyrics for OAI...
He has always admitted he sucks at lyrics going far back to 1992 on the Westwood One PF 25th Anniversary Special. He said he won't ever be as good as Roger and that's life and there's no use in crying about what you can't do you know. DG's music writing skills are still on fire. Roger can still write but the last two lyrics for To Kill a Child and Leaving Beirut suck.

For TDB, Polly was DG's lyric proofreader and then out of kindness he gave her credit for helping him. Then for a line she came up with, he would credit her. Roger on the other hand would take all of the credit himself as he is bossy and greedy.

I'm hopeful something will happen with PF in 2007. That's all I will say!

May I post the first version of my lyrics for "Deep Horizon" here :) ?
Since I can't hear no objections :) ...

DEEP HORIZON

Under skies that dark,
When dogs don't bark,
The Sun is waking,
The Dawn is breaking.
And my eyes, they're streaming
To the world of dreaming,
The great beyond.

Mind goes deep into realms, and I'm awake.
The view is too real to be too fake.
And then I just know I belong this world.
I don't want to leave and turn to stone.

Blind, if only you knew what is near you
There would be less crises.
Try, no matter when, no matter how, just do.
Say no to bad and ices.

What a deep horizon can do...

the main idea is not to simply sing them, but read by singing.

Also, an another idea is not to include any lyrics and possibly vocals
