Help with a Pink Floyd song

Post by kelster »

Hello, I've been searching for a version of Pink Floyd Another Brick In The Wall, that has different words added to it. Let me explain.... years ago, my boyfriend had a friend send him a cassette tape with songs on it. On this tape is the song Another Brick In The Wall... it has the original lyrics, but has a few added, such as.... Good Morning class, I'm Mr Johnson your teacher and your friend and it's time for howdy doody's do and donts.

Now mind you, the words might not be correct as I wrote them while my boyfriend played the cassette briefly for me.

Anyhow, I'm looking for the version of this song with the little extra added words in it. Do you know who did this and how I would go about getting a version of it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much,
Kelli

The extra words wouldn't happen to be something like this...

"Poem's everybody! The laddie reckons himself a poet..."

??? :?

In that case, it came straight from "The Wall Movie" and you can find it at The Doctor's Podcasts.

Um, I only recall the words that I posted in my first response. "Good morning class, I'm Mr Johnson your teacher and your friend. It's now time for howdy doody's dos and donts. Then there's also "What we got here is failure to communicate"

These are the words off the top of my head that I heard when my boyfriend played the song on the cassette.

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is originally from the movie Cool Hand Luke I believe starring Paul Newman

Yeah, the "what we got here is failure to communicate" I did notice was in a Guns N Roses song. It was also in the version of the Pink Floyd song I'm looking for.

It must be some funny reworking of The Wall songs. Not a real thing done by Pink Floyd. Nowhere, and on the none of The Wall demos does such text appear. :?
