If I was Dave, I would have gotten Rog to play on a song from AMLoR or TDB.
They did say that most of the rehearsals was spent just trying to get Roger to play their versions of those four songs, rather than how he'd been playing them on his solo tours. But since he was just playing bass or rhythm guitar, what could he have been doing differently (besides pantomime)?
I'm not sure about the other tracks but WYWH ends with a minor chord (E) when post-RW PF or DG solo play it, whereas Roger ends on the major (G). (Curiously enough, Us and Them is the exact opposite! )
I also remember somebody saying that Rick suggested a bass line/movement that Guy had come up with on one of the tours after Roger's departure, and he remarked something like "what you and your son-in-law do in your free time doesn't interest me"
I have a recurring daydream that a version of Floyd with Dave, Roger and Nick reunite to play one off festival gigs (Glastonbury, Trnsmt etc) and explode back into the public consciousness with a storming opener of One of These Days. They then play a mainly early Floyd setlist including Careful With that Axe, Eugene.

Echoes part 1
The Embryo
Breathe
Time/Breathe reprise
Great Gig in the Sky
Echoes part 2
That would have run well over 25 minutes though.
Personally I think that the set they did was pretty good. The only real change I would have made is subbing "Breathe" out for something else... maybe "Astronomy Domine"? I would say "One of These Days" but that would have run it overtime too.
Id like it if they did the same set but just after the solo on comfortably numb they stopped the music dead , got the intro to see Emily play going and Syd Barrett stepped out on stage to close the show .
