I'm not sure exactly what this question is asking...so I will answer this way:
DSOTM is a concept album about all of the things that can drive a person mad. I've even read an analysis ("Which One's Pink" by Phil Rose) in which it is assumed that DSOTM is the life story of a person who goes over the brink. We begin with his birth and follow him through adolescence and into adulthood and finally madness.
I don't think it's all THAT complex. I think it's just about what Roger calls "the pressures which are anti-life."
Now...to reference the specific lyric "I'll see you on the dark side of the moon," I think it refers to impossibilities that one continues to strive for in the face of their very impossibility.
