I know that some of them (in particular: ironbaden, oshta2k3, obscuredechoes and usefulidiot) are "friends" with me through various networking applications and seem to have just gone on to other things in their lives.

Mooner is one who I've been friends with on myspace and he hasn't logged in in literally years. I fear he may have gone on to other things than life.

bpmolder, if memory serves correctly, had a cardiac event and has been taking it easy ever since.

pugs on the wing appears to have completely vanished. I think that RAWS was keeping in touch with her for a bit, but even he lost touch with her.

It seems that some of the remainder got banned and probably just decided not to come back or whatever.

We've already had a MadJedi that omnicron admitted to having created. Wasn't the lower case version listed below another creation of theirs?

I seem to recall someone saying that they had created a number of aliases all of which were reasonably active on the board (and, apparently, held in reasonably high esteem by the majority of the populace at this forum.) Might some of those be those aliases which have outlived their usefulness?

Maybe these were just people looking for new concert dates or to talk about ones in the past and after they saw there was 'no new news' perhaps they quit and decided to get their information somewhere else?

I think the real question here is:

"Why are these people not being replaced with substitutes of a higher quality", and I think its because with the lack of anything new in the world of Pink Floyd there is a lapse in interest regarding the band, and fewer people are actively searching for a Floyd community except bootleg collecters, casual fans who want a few facts and the usual brace of Gilmour/Waters/Syd obsessives who should actively seek a psychiatrist but are too lazy and use this place as a crutch instead........
