Which are the artists/albums/songs that are quite similar to
the PF genre : alt space rock/ psychedelia

eg, i know of just one:

Well back in 1997 Radiohead's "OK Computer" had a very "Dark Side of The Moon"-like spirit. Blur's "Modern Life Is Rubish" and "The Great Escape" have always sounded to my ears like cities founded by "Arnold Layne". Gong's Radio Gnome Tetralogy of the early 70s shared some similarities with the interstellar jams of Barrett and "Ummagumma" era Floyd. Most of it is pre-1970, though.

This topic is related to PF.
Unless people get at lengths, please keep it here.

Radiohead with their ambient noises and electronics do give hints to PF music but the core of PF music is too unique,,i guess..

I'm with My Breakfast here....this thread doesnae belong here. Last time I looked, Radiohead didn't have Syd, David, Roger, Nick and Rick amongst their number. Allegedly sounding like Pink Floyd isn't a reason for them to be in this thread. Therefore this should be in the General Music Discussion forum. Just my tuppence worth.

Some Porcupine Tree has a Pink Floyd sort of sound. Can't think which album or song. Some one or here will come up with the goods.

I think it might be The Sky Moves Sideways.

Last time I checked they were horridly over-rated, and had an obnoxious window-licker for a singer.

People like Dream Theatre try to be floydian, but they use modern equipment and more techical musicians. Maybe Amon Duul II had a floydian sound, but they also threw in some Eastern-European folk sounds and other things that Floyd didn't.

why not give solar project a try.

they are a German band heavily influenced by pink floyd.

there are some samples on their web site if you are interested and haven't heard them.
