AMERICANA is collection of classic, American folk songs. In their day, some of these may have been referred to as "protest songs", "murder ballads", or campfire-type songs passed down with universal, relatable tales for everyman.

How many other people could leave out songs as great as Cortez The Killer, Like A Hurricane, Hey Hey My My and still be utterly brilliant?
One of the last great living legends!

Only people with 20 or so more equally great songs. With a setlist like that, it's hard to imagine the show as anything less than utterly brilliant. And yet I can think of at least ten more great songs he could have included instead of any of those.
True, there are loads of great songs from the "Ditch Trilogy" that he could have played. I was really stoked to hear him play Walk On.
The only song he played that I can't stand is Words. It's a meandering tuneless dirge that took up 10 minutes. I could have done without either one of Cowgirl or Down By The River - they both sound like the same tune to me anyway, and how many lengthy guitar workouts does the world need ?
Neil plays what he feels like playing, always has done.
Just have to go and see him again, won't I, if I wanna hear those other songs. Touch wood, he'll be around for another few years yet.
