David Gilmour Live at Gdansk - Web Content

Post by Keith Jordan »

If you have Disc 3 availabe of the concert, then you can access the web content.

Changes on the first of every month apparently. Wots... Uh... The Deal was the first and currently up for offer is a download of Shine On You Crazy Diamond from the Bonus CD5 is would seem. As there are 12 tracks on that Bonus CD, I speculate that the twelve will be made available to you if you have the DVD of the concert. But, as Wots... Uh... The Deal was not on Disc 5, perhaps not! We will see on 1st November!

Says on the site keep checking back until September 2009.

So, I get it, one track will be available every next month, till you have all 12?

Pretty stupid really, I don't see why they can't just release all of the songs straight away! :?

There is no advertising or anything on the web content site, so it will be costing them for you to click on the site!!

Perhaps it is just a nice "value added" bonus and incentive for actually buying the DVDs instead of making do with the audio cds?

It would be cool if some tunes that are not on the official release end up being released here.

It actually makes no sense to have mp3 downloads at 192Kbps, when I already made much higher copies.

Maybe this is all about tracking Gilmour fan activities. Maybe the lawyers will be able to track your suspicious activities down. Maybe I'm paranoid.

Forget about here for a second. Do you think the point of the download from disc 3 is about tracking fan activity in general?

Outside of Wots...uh...the Deal, if they only release what is already on the disc you bought, Wots...uh...the Point?

Unless, there are some surprises in store. :D

If they just run through the bonus CD content disc 5, I would see very little point in that to be honest. I do hope they have something of a surprise in store!! Otherwise what is the point indeed!!

I hope they put the Wish You Were Here video up to download and dont just limit things to audio!!

I dont think they are actually spying on people who download the bonus content! There are laws against that, specifically the data protection act. Says on the DVD something about privacy being protected or something. Cant quite remember now.

so if you wait a few months to buy the album, and then you try to download the web content, does that mean youve missed the first months' downloads completely?
