Roger Waters, co-founder, creative force and songwriter behind Pink Floyd, presents his highly anticipated film, Us + Them, featuring state-of- the-art visual production and breath-taking sound in this unmissable cinema event.

Filmed in Amsterdam on the European leg of his 2017 – 2018 Us + Them tour which saw Waters perform to over two million people worldwide, the film features songs from his legendary Pink Floyd albums (The Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Animals, Wish You Were Here) and from his last album, Is This The Life We Really Want?

Waters collaborates once more with Sean Evans, visionary director of the highly acclaimed movie, Roger Waters The Wall, to deliver this creatively pioneering film that inspires with its powerful music and message of human rights, liberty and love.

So we are looking at Wed 02 Oct and Sun 06 Oct ... it will have to be the former for me as I am at another Dodge Brothers 'film event' on Sunday.

I just realised I never actually put the date on the news story! I have added it now. lol

I am getting daft in my old age.

Really looking forward to this. Both on DVD and in a theatre.

Just in case you're busy on 02 and 06 Oct ... have just spotted at least one location is also showing the film on Sat 19 October.

Still no news about a 'home video' release on DVD or Blu-ray :-;

I'm sure there will be one. Still, I'll be going to the cinema showing. It's the next best thing to being there. Even Gilmour's Pompeii show, which is very much a curate's egg, was a very enjoyable evening out.

So why are they charging nearly £15 a ticket - its not like Rog will be there in person - or maybe he will be serving tea with his pigs head on during the interval

Here's the "official answer" -

Hi Tim

Thanks for your email & apologies for the delayed response - there are no plans around a home video release for Us + Them.

All best
Saskia
A position that personally I frankly find amazing. Maybe there are plans in hand for an SDE ... but to suggest no home video release when the work has been done to make the film, create the DLP in 4k maybe even 8k and then to show in cinemas (theatres) for a very limited number of days without a follow-up DVD/Blu-ray is stupid.

Just watched the film at a half-full screening. Pin sharp image, great colours and clever use of colours plus multi-channel sound ... but why did if have to be so quiet? FYI, pre-film there was trailer to suggest that you should stay in your seats for a cinema exclusive after the film ... why say such a thing if there is no planned home video version, unless of course both statements are true and the film is for TV broadcast (will ask Trafalgar tomorrow). The extra is a short called 'A Fleeting Glimpse' and is a sort of behind the scenes ... c/w a jokey comment about Nick Mason.

9/10 ... would buy on Blu-ray if available :)

Didn't go in the end as I was underwhelmed with the Wall film but word on the street is that .. SPOILER ALERT .. the encore of Comfortably Numb is missing
