It ended 2 weeks ago now.
Roger Water's Amused to Death had been playing in my CD player on endless loop for 3 weeks
Whether i was in the room or not, it was playing.
Unfortunaltley, my power went off when my desk lamp lightbulb blew, and ive played the album now only a few time since.
It's a Record.
btw, I'm an Idiot.

It's difficult to decipher. This is basically how it goes:crofloyd wrote:By the way, what's the secret backward massage in the begginig of Perfect Sense? Very unusual song.
"In the light and visions of the issues of Stanley, we have changed our minds. We have decided to include a backwards message, Stanley, for you and all the other book-burners."
You get the idea...

I think Rogers voice on ATD is great.. infact I think at times he sings quite brilliantly. 'Watching TV' for example..Yet Another Movie wrote:*raises hand*David Smith wrote:Anyone here not like Amused To Death?
Roger's vocal skills have really declined.
Whereas on Pros and cons Rog sounds creepy and 'mumbly' at times - on ATD he sounds more clear.
Besides - it's the awesome lyrics and strong music which make 'Amused to Death' the masterpiece it is..
Each to his own though

I've noticed a lot of the same topics coming up again and again in "new threads" - yet this particular one is quite unique, obviously the original poster is a fanatic, and I go through periods of listening to too much floyd - now I don't feel so compulsive-obsessive (I was worried about all the Gilmour I've been listening to lately). The Gunner's Dream wrote:What the hell is up with you and your old threads?
They come and go. I understand it annoys people sometimes, but I don't do it much, and they pass...I guess you have now contributed to it staying a bit longer, and now with my response, geez...but really...
Rather tha n start a new thread, I will now ask, do any of you ever worry you're being overly compulsive or obsessive when it comes to Pink Floyd. Me, I do, yet some of you are definately MORE so.

I suppose I'm a bit obsessed. Though I used to be much worse. For 2 years straight I practically played my entire Pink Floyd collection every-day. These days I still listen to them almost every-day. Mostly I find myself listening to Animals, The Wall, The Final Cut, Wish you were here, and occasionally even AMLOR and The Devision Bell
