Just transcribed the lyrics, if anyone is interested 8)

Hello (I Love you)

Have you heard
It was on the news
Your child can read you like a bedtime story
Like a magazine
Like a has-been out to grass
Like afternoon tv
Why is my life life going by so fast

Hello I love you
Is there anybody in there
Put down the phone
Shut up the shop
Make all that techo babble stop
We'll find a shortwave frequency
A wave connecting you and me
Hello I love you

sounds like a Lionel Richie rip off to me.

and whats with the line "is there anybody out there" thats stolen from a pink floyd song

I suppose Roger's entitled to rip himself off!!! It would have been funny if he'd worked with the film composer James Horner. He's made an entire career out of cannibalising his own back catalogue (which sounds a bit painful IMHO)

It's quite different. That song name is obviously much more unique, original and eccentric than "Hello (I Love You)". Try giving a realistic example. If a modern artist released a song that had absolutely no association with Syd Barrett called "Late Night" or "No Man's Land", I'm sure you wouldn't think much of it. Or at least I hope not, because it is completely irrelevant. In the same way that the song by The Doors is completely irrelevant in relation to this.

you have to expect some people to turn their head sideways and say "now wait just a second"
And it is a ridiculous thing to expect. I didn't quite realise that people would care very much about the fact that a new Roger Waters song happens to share the same name as an old song by The Doors. Especially considering the fact that the lyrics and music are apparently completely unrelated to the song by The Doors.
this discussion about the name of the song is nonsense..it´s like if i have to be mad or feel uncomfortable, or weird everytime some father in the world wants to name his kid Gabriel....like my name.

You're in good company - you and David Gilmour's son

People have little to be getting steamed up about if they're wondering why Roger couldn't come up with an original title for his song. In that case, he should've gone down the New Order route and just picked a random word, unrelated to anything in the lyrics, as a song title.
