Re: Roger Waters in Stand Up for Heroes Concert
Doesn't look like many people were interested. By chance, I went to the official Pink Floyd website while it was streaming live, saw some jazz musicians, got bored and moved on. So , what did Roger perform? I had read something about performing Wish You Were Here...so, as one of the most over played songs, I couldn't be arsed - hell, even Nick Mason helped perform it this summer, no?

Roger played WYWH, Knockin' on Heavens' Door and Wide River to Cross with something like 8 acoustic guitarists playing in unisson and almost as many backing vocalists (all veterans). it was quite moving, especially the crippled veteran's who sang lead on WRtC. the rest was ok, bordering on amateurish in the vocal harmonies department.

Yes, some of the harmonies were not up to scratch but they did a great job. Wide River to Cross was done very well indeed and was the highlight.
