Why didn't you ask to formally rejoin the band that day when you turned up unexpectedly at Abbey Road studios recording session with your hair and eyebrows shaved off?

Do you like the covers that David Gilmour has done of some of your songs e.g. Terrapin, Dominoes, Dark Globe, Here I Go?

Ah true Barrett fans, we are.

I must've missed something, I fail to see the humor here. [-X

And, um, Syd...who sang the bloody thing? Cause see there's a forum I'm a member of and there is this on going debate whether you sang the lead or Nick Mason did.
Yall know it was Nicky! He said it was a hard thing to do to sing with Barrett's sped-up backing vocals.

Back from the wilderness to inquire about this very issue. I have been having a text debate with a friend about this and we both hoped to find some answers here.

Where did he say that? In his book? If so it would nail the argument forever.

Hi! Everything's good, cheers. Haven't visited in a while (I've moved offices at least once and desks several times since my last login - same old routine though.) Not sure why, just got out of the habit of checking in, I guess. Jolly glad to see my profile here hasn't been deleted though. That would have been a right pain, having to start again as a newbie under a different name. "No, I really am him, least I was when I got up this morning." "We don't believe you. Go away, imposter!" etc. etc. etc.

At the risk of incurring the wrath of our ever-vigilant mods, how have things been for you?

Nick's book doesn't really answer the question. From p115 of the hardback edition

"We did have a number of other songs of Syd's in reserve, including "Old Woman With A Casket" and "Vegetable Man". They were initially intended to be potential singles, but were never satisfactorily finished. Both these had vocals from me included in the mix, which may have had some bearing on the matter."

I have one simple question:
What happened to you in late 67 early 68?.was it acid or a nervous breakdown? or did you just want out????
