Why McDonalds Burger Does Not Look Like Pictures!

Post by Keith Jordan »

McDonalds have shared a video of how they make up the photos of their burgers that are displayed in their advertising. Check out why there is a difference!

Makes me think of this scene from Falling Down. Or at least the bit almost 4 minutes into this. Anyway, everyone knows it's not food McDonalds serves <.8.>

Indeed, I was thinking of that very scene too! One of my favourites. 8)

food stylists!
like the makeup people who keep drugaddicted anorexic celebs looking fabulous, theres a profession that is paid handsomely to convince us a blob of chemicals soaked in grease salt and sugar is really what we need to put in our digestive system
I'm having a blank, thers another classic scifi scene thats relevant ... is it Brazil where the fancy restaurant serves a glossy photo along with the meal illustrating what the tiny pale blob of chemicals on the plate is supposed to remind the customer of while eating?

EDIT: ah yes, see here at 8:50

Funnily enough, there's going to be a documentary on British TV tomorrow night about that. The Men Who Made Us Fat. Sounds like it could be interesting

I watched the first espsode last week of The Men Who Made Us Fat and it was very interesting to see how US food policy in the 1970s is still affecting people around the world today. Certainly worth watching on BBC iPlayer if you are interested in current affairs and a good conspiracy, check it out.

I can't remember the last time I've been in a McDonalds. And not just because of my bad memory.

I've lost about thirty pounds in the last six months, largely due to not eating at fast food restaurants nearly as much as I once did.

Also through not buying soda to drink at home anymore...nor bags of chips and other junk foods.

I'm not about to turn into some kind of healthy eating zealot, but I'm looking at these things differently than I once did...thinking more about what actually goes into this stuff that we call "food" nowadays.

a while back i created a facebook group called "stop posting pictures of your food on facebook" for all of those people that like to post crappy cell phone pictures of what they had for lunch. thanks for posting the link to this article keith. i'll be adding it to the facebook group!

i created this to illustrate why they use food stylists:
