The only extras on PULSE that I feel are really worth anything are the films. The rest of it is just so much...I dunno, dross, I guess.

Mind you, I'm not that impressed with PULSE on the whole.

The concert didn't need to be divided between two DVD's...it would have fit on one. All of the extras could have been put on the second disc...and there probably would have been room for more and better features.

After all the build up and all the waiting, blah blah blah...I felt kind of let down.

the best extra on the dvd is Bootlegging the bootleggers i think thats the only decent extra on the whole dvd personally.

The screen films are a nice extra i admit the videos extra is good but they could of filled it out more with the OTTA offical video from Atlanta 1987.

So, I watched disc one last night for the first time since it came out. It was the first time I actually made it through the whole disc in one sitting.

There is something so uninspiring, even boring about most of the performance and the way it is filmed...yawn. :?

EDIT: So, anybody still a big fan of this release, who can't get enough?

Watched the bootlegging the bootleggers feature the other night while i was packing.

Not a particularly inspiring package really.

The first disc doesn't have a whole lot of good on it aside from Shine On, High Hopes and Coming Back to Life, the disc 2 has a version of dark side that i've only ever had the urge to watch once. Nice encore though :)

I find with music DVDs that I stop looking after a few minutes and just listen to the music whilst doing other stuff. That's why I rip the audio and listen on my mp3 player. Just don't tell DG

It was and is a bit of a let down, eh?

Nice packaging though.

Actually, I have owned a few official dvd's of other bands, but no more.

I just keep all the Floyd ones, because I seem to have some addiction to them.

I guess it doesn't translate that well. I don't have 5.1, which may have something to do with it. But, I saw PF in 1987 and 1988, and when DSoT came out, it didn't seem to capture the two concerts I saw...maybe I need a 5.1 system to enjoy it all a little more...I dunno.

But, you just know I will get both Rog's and Dave's new dvd's.

I need therapy and probably a labotomy.
