within the last month or so:
The Beta Band - Heroes to Zeros (surprisingly good!)
Best of the Counting Crows (how did I miss these guys?)
Franz Ferdinand (self titled - really catchy)
Keane - Hopes & Fears (no-guitars band, again surprisingly good)
Velvet Revolver - Contraband (excellent)
Badly Drawn Boy - 1+1=1 (f-ing gorgeous!)
(Technically BDB's still on pre-order, but doesn't mean I've not heard it!!)

I just bought my first venture into this type of music -- the album "Angles Without Edges" by Yesterdays New Quintet. I kept hearing the music on [adult swim] and really liked it, so I went out and bought it! The album overall is pretty good too! An interesting mix of jazz and hip hop, and I'm not even a fan of hip hop. They manage to pull it off quite nicely though. Interesting to try if you're willing to broaden your horizons.

she is definitely a breath of fresh air in the midst of today's britney and christina look-a-likes. i just discovered another brilliant artist named chan marshall. she goes by the name cat power and she's awesome!Anna-Roza wrote: I don't have it yet, but must agree with you, great artist
Not for Evanescence and Aguilera fans, that's for sure
