What's the difference between a Jehovah's Witness and a Lada?

You can close the door on a Jehovah's Witness

WHEN???!?!?!?!?!?!?!
In the province I live in, you cannot smoke in your own car if you have passengers under the age of 18 or something. It started a few months ago. You see, it is illegal to sell cigareetes to people under a certain age. But, there isn't really a law against smoking under that age that I am aware of. Now, I can understand that smoking with a 2 year old in the car is probably wrong. But, get this. The very first person to receive a ticket under this law was sitting there while the ticket was being written up, and the under age girl, who was between 14-16 years old, stepped out of the car for a smoke while the ticket was being written.

Oh, and in my city, we must now pay 5 cents for a plastic bag at stores...and, and...well, they just keep creating more and more laws...

My neighbours had a baby, and now I can't even smoke in my own home, because the smoke drifts into their place...

I dunno, I now have some affinities with the small government conservative types in many ways.

Sure np smoking in a restaurant makes some sense (you do see more babies in restaurants and bars now), but there are some music venues that just sell booze and have bands. Why can't there be "clubs" like these that are exempt if they want to be.

Hell, Calgary, the home of no taxes, small government conservatism has an issue with scanning IDs at clubs: http://www.ffwdweekly.com/article/news- ... -identity/ Alberta is such a strange place. I am not supposed to smoke within something like 9 metres of any public entrance way, but can do it AND have a police officer simply walk by and not care...in Calgary I would get a ticket. And they say we are the lefty big government city/province...

Anyway, I still smoke. But always outside.

I keep going back and forth. I will smoke heavily for a month, and then not at all for a month. I don't like this.

I am in the week. Only smoke when I have alcohol. Which means I am still a smoker, but not half as much! Which I see as progress: a milestone on my hourney to being a non-smoker.

i've been thinkning about trying the lozenges. better being hooked on them than breathing in all this smoke.

on a tangent, california recently added marijuana smoke to the list of hazardous materials (like cigarette smoke) that the public is required to be notified of the presence of. medical marijuana dispensaries will have to post a sign!

Sorry man ... that still constitutes a smoker ... and suggests Your desire to be a non-smoker is out weighed by the thought that Cigs are a precious thing that need to be sacrificed and that by not smoking you are deprieving yourself of something worthwhile and enjoyable ... you are denying yourself a plessure ... which is nonsense.

I am not smoking right now, no! I just cannot type!

Yes, I am still a smoker. I must try harder not to do that. Think of the bus fumes. Bus fumes! Bus fumes!!

Nah Keith ... bus fumes ain't working for you ... that's scare mongering yourself ... Health warnings on packs don't work , so imagining a Bus exhaustpipe ain't gonna do it either ... Read Allen Carrs book ...

Yep, I do..but I cannot accept that reading a book will do the trick. You have to seriously want/need to give up before you can.

I wish I didn't smoke, but I have no real need/want to - yet.

I'm sure I'll pay in the end, but maybe you'll get run over by a bus! :D
