Not being a clever sod here, but I can be done! I quit 4 years ago after smoking since I was 15. First 3 or 4 days were hell, I just went cold turkey! But well worth it. Feel great, saved loads of cash, (got meself a second hand Jag!), put a little weight on, but so what.
If you are trying to quit, you can do it!

I have never had the cigarette problem because I have never smoked. I hate to seem like a public service announcement here, but the best way to stop is not to start in the first place. Works like a charm.

I wasn't really meaning to be a smartass. I'm sorry it came off that way. What I meant is that I have taken this approach early on because I don't want to get hooked on cigarettes. I don't want to because I am afraid of them. My family has been struck by cancer related deaths a staggering 8 times in the past 10 years, all due to smoking. I can't even bear to look at a cigarette let alone smoke one.Damn!t wrote:Smartass!bpmolder wrote:I hate to seem like a public service announcement here, but the best way to stop is not to start in the first place.

That's very kind, Bran. I just wish that if people were to insist on continuing to smoke that they had a way to switch to pure tobacco that doesn't have all the chemicals that cigarettes do now. Unfortunately, like with so many other things, the government is making too much money from things being the way they are. They are just fine with letting people continue to be poisoned and die slowly.Damn!t wrote:I'm sorry to hear that about your family molder.
