New Members Say Hello Thread!!

Hello all!

Been a fan since 1994, when my mom got a 10-year-old me a copy of The Wall on cassette in preparation for my dad taking me to my first concert: Pink Floyd at Veteran's Stadium in Philadelphia on June 2. While I don't remember much of the set itself (something which saddens me), I get to boast to everyone that my first-ever concert was Pink Floyd instead of something embarrassing.

Since then, I've been hooked, buying up everything I can get my hands on. I still remember scraping together change to make sure I had enough money to buy the Shine On box set.

Let's see, favorite albums... I really have a soft spot for Obscured By Clouds and the two post-Waters albums (especially The Division Bell), though I think Animals might be my favorite. I also love The Final Cut, and dig Roger's solo albums the most.

I can't wait to start engaging in some discussion – watch out, because I'm gonna be bumping most of the album discussion threads!

Hi my name is John and I am new here.

A long time Floyd fan (I can remember where I was and listening to WYWH being previewed in full on the Alan Freeman Saturday afternoon BBC radio show before it was released) and lucky enough to be see the Animals tour as well be at the Live 8 show. Although I have received emails from NPF for some time only just joined the forum after getting frustrated with the official Roger Waters forum which is now the sole domain of trolls, nutters and hateful religious bigots. Hopefully I might find some interesting posts on here from people with a mutual interest if all thing Floyd, instead the crazy rumblings on the Waters forum.

Anyway looking forward to hearing from you

Hello there, My name is Cornelius I have been a Floyd fan since 81, first went to see them in 88 (momentary lapse of reason tour), then in 94 was lucky enough to see them again (division bell tour), also seen Gilmour in 2006 (on an island tour) and Waters doing The Wall in 2011 and last week at Wembley Stadium.

Is there anybody out there..?
