At least he is free of his maddness.

At least his legacy lives on and his artwork.

Syd...my childhoodhero...are you now in our phantasy-land...with Bonzo and John-the-Beatle...? I will meet you in my dreams at night...and we'll do long expeditions along the Spooky-River down in Ghostieland...and watch for Flashcrashmushrooms and Squeekymeowzes...

This looks great Keith!

I bought a new guitar amp and mic this week that I'm loving. I'm going to learn a couple of Syd songs tonight and have a few drinks in his honor (or is that honoUr for my friends in the mother country  ).

Does anyone know a good site for Syd / Floyd tabs and chords? I use this one - http://www.pinkfloyd-co.com/band/tab/tab_idx.html

"Old musicians never die...they just decompose."

Rest in peace, Roger.

(Syd already died a long, long time ago.)

I notice it was the last item on CBCs 5oclock news report
they even played a snippet of Astronomy Domine
at least all those CBC listeners now know who Syd was

CNN did a ten-second thing about it. Hearing the CNN logo rotate past as the opening of "Great Gig In The Sky" played was bone-chilling, and the rest of the report was comprised of a still from the post-contract dance in '67. The song really has new meaning to me now, although I wish they'd included one of his songs.

i cant believe how hard this has hit me, i was just sat in the pub with a load of non floydiens with syd lyrics rolling round my head, mostly

"wouldn't you miss me, wouldn't you miss me at all"

yes we all do roger, and we allways will
