Many has mentioned Apocalypse Now and I understand that many people think it's one of the greatest... well my problem is that I have never really understood it and it's boring, nothing special (Soundtrack is good). Many other directors have done so much better movies about human mind. And because no-one has mentioned old movies I think I must:
Phantom Of The Opera (made in 1925)
Most of the Chaplin, Laurel/Hardy and Keaton movies
Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (1922)
Bronenosets Potyomkin
And Airplane! was great comedy.
